Street Fighters

DIK is a young inspector. His superior has arranged for him a casting for the host of a programme called “Police Report”. He, however, prefers to join the frontier team. With his mother’s help, he succeeds in changing his post. Unfortunately, DIK cannot get on with his fellow officers KEI, CHEUNG, TAK and LOK. DIK has had some misunderstandings with PO, who is quite renowned in Temple Street, over which he still feels angry. DIK’s girlfriend, GRACE, finds it boring being with DIK anymore and splits up with him in front of everybody. YING has a long-lost son, ON, who DIK has no memory of at all. DIK leads his team for the first time on a mission, but is somehow carsick and throws up on the way. All his men laugh. PO, HEI, CHUN, FAI, LILY, WAI and NAM grew up in Temple Street together and are very good friends. They all treat PO as their leader. YING meets PO and thinks he is ON……

DIK handcuffs PO immediately. YING dose not want to make any troubles so PO leaves arrogantly. KEI and the others have some after work activities with DIK. Yet DIK feels that he is excluded and that nobody obeys him. YING meets PO again at her restaurant and cannot help following him. PO falls over and without delay, YING runs up to help him. YING feels especially closed to PO when she smells his body scent. PO does not know how to react and rushes off. CHUN owes money to some loan sharks. PO and the others try hard to gather money for CHUN. HEI’s grandmother, BAAT, however, uses the money in buying HEI a very expensive watch. So PO turns to YIK, his adopted father, for help. DIK collides with PO while chasing after a thief. KEI suspects PO and insists on handcuffing him. They verify later that PO is innocent. DIK admits this as his own fault and reports to his boss. His act impresses his team members……

As YING insists that PO is ON, DIK takes her to clarify things with PO. YING is afraid that this is too sudden an act and asks PO whether he is DIK’s cousin instead. DIK is confused. Shocked, PO denies it and leaves quickly. HEI is unemployed and thinking of running a stall with BO and the others. Later HEI’s friend, CHEN, reminds her to be realistic so she starts looking for a job. However, PO supports her business plan. He takes care of her stall when it is raining hard one day. It makes YING’s heart ache seeing this. YING wants to move into Temple Street and get closer to PO. DIK disagrees but eventually softens his stand. YING is happy living close to PO and introduces herself to him. But PO does not take much interest. She makes some sesame sweet-soup as night snacks for PO. CHUN takes a taste quickly before anyone else. PO enjoys the soup very much and finds the taste of the soup familiar……

PO is very upset to know that his mother abandoned him for money years back. HEI has not settled with her new job. Luckily she has PO to talk to. YING makes fresh sesame sweet-soup for PO regularly now. PO in return takes the initiative to start a conversation with her. YING knows that PO is very fond of Chinese barbecued pork, so she starts to grill some in her own kitchen. DIK is jealous when he sees this. HEI’s boss, LEUNG, admires her a lot. HEI, her colleagues and PO’s gang go to Karaoke after work. LEUNG appreciates HEI even more seeing her stirring up the atmosphere. PO learns computer skills from HEI and finds that HEI is much more mature than before. HEI’s home is flooded. Her grandmother insists on taking PO’s bed, so PO and HEI have to share one bed. PO has some strange feelings watching HEI sleep. DIK’s ex-girlfriend, KI, joins his team……

CHUN, WAI and the others are discussing about how PO is fond of HEI; they dismiss when PO shows up and tries to join in. PO wakes up in the middle of a dream and rushes to walk HEI to work. HEI takes PO’s arm as usual, but PO’s heart beats rapidly this time and he excuses himself. KEI fights for a chance to patrol with KI. However, he ends up getting warned by KI for his flirtatious behaviour. PO goes to ask HEI out for lunch but sees her going to a high-class club with LEUNG. So PO follows them but is not welcomed. PO tries to start a wholesale business on the Internet but is cheated with some fake goods. KI reports him without consulting DIK. PO assumes DIK victimising him again. YING has the idea to start a sweet-soup business in Temple Street. This irritates DIK as he knows she is doing this for PO. CHUN and the others read PO’s thoughts and encourage him to give up the brother and sister relationship with HEI and date her.

PO denies his special feelings about HEI even under CHUN and the others’ questioning. YING teaches PO her sesame sweet-soup recipe and offers to give him money to open a shop. PO declines her kind offer. YING hopes to re-awake PO’s childhood memories when she teaches him how to make sesame sweet-soup but fails. DIK teaches HEI a lot about computers and she starts to like him. YING manages cunningly to open a sweet-soup shop with PO. DIK does not feel right about this and asks KEI and the others to join the business. PO and DIK argue about how the shop should be renovated and fight for the control right in a ball game. PO is distracted seeing HEI there and DIK wins the game. HEI is thrilled to receive a love email message, thinking that it is from DIK. Yet the fact is CHUN and the others have written the message for PO’s sake. The sweet-soup shop, named Miu Do, opens……

HEI happily tells PO about the email from DIK. PO is relieved but dares not tell her the truth. PO and the others are at work punctually and this surprises DIK. PO cannot bear seeing HEI loving DIK and lies to her that the email was his practical joke. HEI is outraged and disappointed. Everyone is having a meeting at Miu Do when they hear a robbery going on outside. DIK orders KI to stay and call for backup, but KI does not follow his instruction and takes action without permission. During the chaos, KI knocks BAAT down with her car. BAAT thinks she can get a lot of compensation and pretends she is seriously hurt. KI apologies to DIK and HEI overhears their past relationship and feels sour. PO, CHUN and the others are absent from work. Angry, YING goes to PO’s place to wake him up. PO accidentally pushes YING when he is half-asleep and wakes up immediately. He then carries her home on his back……

YING tries to stop PO and DIK from fighting each other. The relationship between PO and DIK is deteriorating. PO develops a high fever and feels very grateful for YING’s intensive care. HEI asks DIK to teach her computer skills again. DIK brings KI along and she laughs at HEI’s education level. DIK finds KI’s behaviour unkind and invites HEI to his place to teach her. CHEN arranges a quiet day for just HEI and DIK on HEI’s birthday. DIK then realizes HEI loves him and starts to worry. PO is deeply disappointed when he finds out HEI and DIK celebrated HEI’s birthday together. YING realizes that PO loves HEI. KI uses KEI to irritate DIK and KEI takes the chance to get close to KI. BAAT steals money from Miu Do. PO defends BAAT and lies that he has stolen the money. YING slaps him on the face for his bad nature. PO, CHUN and the others mess things up after getting drunk. In the chaos, DIK grabs HEI’s hand and leads her outside……
