CHUNG LAP MAN has always thought that LEE MAN SING, an instructor of the Police Training School, is the one who destroyed his family. To revenge him, MAN forces a friend of his, CHAN KWOK KEUNG, to take part in the police recruitment exam with him. On the selection day, MAN has a disagreement with another candidate, KEN WAI. It is MAN’s wish that his mother, CHAN YIN TING, could one day be reunited with his father, CHUNG CHI WAH. And so he keeps creating chances for his parents. TING feels that there is nothing she can do about MAN’s effort. TING is upset because her interior design company, Lok On Kui, has been doing very badly. She has withdrawn 50,000 dollars, which is meant to pay a decoration contractor, from the bank. Unfortunately, she has been robbed and the money has all gone. She feels helpless. A young woman named HO FA has witnessed the whole incident and is very uneasy about this……

KEN is worrying about his rental when his grandpa, CHIU TIM FOOK, comes. Knowing KEN’s problem, FOOK tells him that his mother, LEUNG SAU CHUN, had bought a house with SING twenty years ago. FOOK also tells him to get back what he deserves. So KEN goes to SING’s place. There, he is mistaken as a thief by SING’s co-habitant-cum-colleague, KUK MING CHEONG. When SING learns that KEN is the son of CHUN, he lets KEN move in. A woman wrongly accuses FA of stealing in a record shop. MAN sees this and comes to her rescue. However, FA still has not recovered from the fright. MAN and his sister, KA LAI, are on the way to buy a cell phone when they see a man stealing a pedestrian’s mobile. MAN gives a chase without delay. FA is all too worried as her twin brother, MING, is the pickpocket. MING is caught. MAN appears in court to testify against MING. MING is convicted and sentenced to prison for three months. The HO family hates MAN……

FIONA MA, who is also a cadet, suspects that SING was the traffic policeman who had once saved her life, but he makes no response to her queries. KEN reports MAN and KEUNG’s rearrangement to SING. Both MAN and KEUNG are angry. The cadets are given their uniforms and arranged to have their hair cut. The female cadets weep over their short hairdos. ANN talks to every cadet in her team individually. After talking to them all, she has got the impression that KEN is very self-protective; that FIONA, who is delicate, may not be able to go through the training. As for MAN, he complained that SING always picks on him. FIONA has damaged the iron, so she has to borrow one from the male cadets. Meanwhile, SING comes for an inspection blitz and orders the cadets to clean the toilets once again. SING sees FIONA there. As a result, all the female cadets are asked to copy the school regulations out as a punishment……

ANN is very friendly; all the cadets have a favorable impression on her. MAN is delighted to know FA is the temporary staff at the school canteen. CHEONG teaches the cadets shooting. MAN is skeptical about him, whose nickname is Marksman. MAN has dropped SING’s notepad onto the street, making all to be punished. SING scolds the cadets for lacking team spirit and reproaches MAN, who is a class captain, for being irresponsible. The boys are dissatisfied that SING punishes them again. FIONA reports to SING her roommates’ eating snacks in the barrack, which is against the rules. Nevertheless, she is told off by SING instead. FA takes away MAN’s uniform, hoping that he would be punished for losing his uniform. MAN is upset that he cannot have a weekend off because he has filled in the wrong date on the leave application form. FIONA and KEN go shopping for swimming suits for their whole classes……

MAN hurries to hospital. To his huge relieve, TING is in good shape. CHEONG confesses to SING he has broken the music box. SING tells him to forget about it and let KEN misunderstand him. KEN looks everywhere but fails to find somebody who can fix his music box. FIONA, who is wearing a wig, attends a luncheon. There she bumps into her childhood playmate, CHOW WAI YUEN, but she cannot recognize him. A waiter takes off her wig by accident. Her mother, CHEUNG WAI SUM, is shocked to see her short hair and orders her to quit the school. Her father, FUNG TAI, comes to her rescue. TING has been discharged from hospital. Her elder sister, YIN LAN, moves in under the pretext of looking after her, to which MAN and LAI are unhappy. SING goes to his superior, PANG HO LEUNG, and speaks for MAN regarding his leaving the school without permission. MAN is only given a warning letter but no other punishment in the end……

MAN and KEN are scolded by SING during training. The two switch off the tap to revenge SING when he is taking a shower. KEN later turns himself in. MAN appreciates KEN’s help and they become good friends. FIONA has accidentally cut off the power of the female barrack. Her fellow cadets refuse to give her a help later when she twists her ankle. FIONA takes part in the foot-drill despite her pain. She ends up bringing a punishment to LING. FA gives FIONA a hand in taking the meal. The two girls find themselves get along very well. SUM has borrowed tens of thousand of dollars from the loan shark. FA does not want to steal again and help her father pay his debt. The girls take a peep at FIONA’s diary and laugh at her for admiring SING. There is an angioma in TING’s brain; she asks SING to keep it a secret. The fortnightly test is round the corner. MAN is so nervous that he has got stomach ache……

SING points out that what the guys have done is against the police’s code of practice. When home, KEN has a quarrel with SING. KEN leaves the house in anger. CHEONG advises SING not to be too harsh to the cadets but to give them more room. MAN is studying at home when he gets stomach ache again. TING suggests the whole family to go to the countryside on Sunday to reduce MAN’s pressure. Coveting the 10,000 dollars prize money, FA takes part in the Miss Sunny Pageant. Her plan is disrupted unintentionally by MAN. Their relationship has become even worse. Some loan sharks have come and ask FA pay off her father’s debt. FA, who is scared, does not know what to do. Luckily, FIONA is there to help her out of the predicament. FIONA is depressed that her classmates do not like her, and she is thinking about quitting. Her parents are excited to hear this. FA encourages her to hang on in there and fight for her dream……

The day before the fortnightly test, the class is very dissatisfied that SING has extended the foot-drill training. That night, KEN takes everybody out for a chill-out. On the day of the test, everybody is very nervous. SING accompanies TING to the herbal doctor’s and takes her home. LAN asks her if she is going out with SING and she is pleased to hear that SING is only a friend of hers. All have passed the test. To their disappointment, MAN does not appreciate their result at all. Rather, he orders them to practice more. The youngsters can do nothing but suppress their rage. CHEONG is upset that ANN makes him lose face front of other officers. He reveals to SING that he and ANN were lovers ten years ago. PONG appears to be very nervous during the riflery and fighting courses. He is also found to be absent-minded the whole day. Some of his fellows think that he is possessed, but MAN does not believe so……
