Where I Belong

This story starts in 1983. Hui Chung Shun plans to have a romantic celebration for the 4th wedding anniversary with his wife Lok Su Shan. However, she is so busy with her work that she just gives a cold shoulder to her husband. Chung Shan is very unhappy. Hong Kong dollar is deflated. Therefore, the people rushes to scramble for the daily necessities. Hui Sau Fong, together with her daughter, goes to the supermarket to join the scramble but they are separated. Although she finally finds her daughter, Ting Siu Kwan scolds Sau Fong severely for her carelessness. Su Shan's application for emigration to Perth is approved, however, she does not want to give up her job. Thus, she requests Chung Shun to go to land in Perth first. Though Chung Shun is reluctant to go there alone, he promises her. Chung Shun starts his trip to Perth. He makes a new friend Yau Han Tung on his trip……

Han Tung ruins the meeting. Sai Sai chases after him and beats him in order to show her anguish. Tse Yau Choi finds that Han Tung can be abused and he asks Han Tung to work as a cheap labor in hifi restaurant. Chung Shun settles down in Perth and his neighbors are all the so-called "Women Astronauts" from Hong Kong. At first, these women all keep Chung Shun in distance but Chung Shun is so zealous in helping the others that he always helps them to solve their problems. As a result, they live in harmony. However, Chung Shun still feels very embarrassed and bored for he has to stay with these women everyday. On the other hand, Su Shan is leading a glamorous life as a single woman. She reunites with her ex-lover Hau Si Ki and his attitude towards her is in between lover and friend. It makes Su Shan have beautiful thoughts in her mind……

Han Tung is beaten by the Vietnamese and he is caught and Yau Choi has to pay a large sum of ransom to rescue him. Yau Choi urges him to work overtime in order to pay the debt. Sai Sai is in her puberty and she is attracted by Han Tung as he is a muscular man. When Han Tung is ill, Sai Sai flatters him and takes good care of him. Han Tung cannot stand her flattery. Yau Choi forces Han Tung to get married with Sai Sai, however, Han Tung reluctant to do so. In return, Sai Sai reveals Han Tung's identity to the immigration department so that he has to flee. Su Shan and Si Ki starts a love battle and Su Shan is finally failed to resist Si Ki. They become lovers again and they have sexual relationship. Han Tung goes to find Chung Shun. At the same time, the immigration officer finds him whereas the Vietnamese also chases him to take revenge……

While the love relation between Su Shan and Si Ki is so heated that Chung Shun suddenly returns to Hong Kong. This makes Su Shan feels very annoyed and she always vents her spleen on Chung Shun. Chung Shun does not know the reason but he bears her bad temper. Cheung Ka Fai pretends to be ill so that An Shin returns to Hong Kong to see him. Ka Fai takes this chance to propose marriage and An Shin gives him her hand. Han Tung goes back to Hong Kong and he has to follow Tai Hoi. He is bullied by Tai Hoi, Ha Kam Chu and the others and he swears to do his utmost in order to become a rich man. Ngan Yu Yuk knows the adulterous affair of Su Shan and she is sympathizcd with Chung Shun that she gives him some hints about the adultery. However, Chung Shun can hardly get her point. Chung Shing is admitted to the university. As he is much older than his classmates, he finds that it is difficult to cope with them……

Su Shan shows down to Chung Shun and she confesses her affair with Si Ki to him. She urges Chung Shun to divorce her. Chung Shun asks her to have second thought but she leaves without any reaction to his words. Chung Shun calls Han Tung to accompany him to go to bar, however, they have quarrel with another customer and start fighting. As a result, they are all detained in police station. Chun Fat puts in bail for Chung Shun. Han Tung feels empathy with Chung Shun and he calls a group of friends to beat Si Ki in order to teach him a lesson. Si Ki keeps this in mind and he intentionally goes to the solicitor’s office while Chung Shun and Su Shan are signing their deed of separation. However, Chung Shun is very calm and he tells Si ki to remember to treat Su Shan well. Chung Shing helps An Ki to bring her books to home voluntarily. He puts his head out from the window but accidentally he is trapped and he cannot move……

The wedding of An Shin is canceled. After this blow, she has made up her mind to be more adamant in becoming independent. Later. Ka Fai recognizes that An Shin, in fact, has no problem in reproduction. And he wants to become reconciled with her, however, An Shin refuses him. As Su Shan has abandoned Chung Shun, Yu Yuk feels very guilty. Thus, she tries her best to introduce new girl friends to Chung Shun. Chung Shun shows a cold shoulder to her proposal because he does not want to be involved in any love affair. Han Tung is still dreaming for emigration. He goes to register in Yu Yuk's match-maker agency as he wants to marry a middle-aged woman from the United States. Yu Yuk feels that it is rather ridiculous. Joe courts with An Ki but she has no interest for him. She asks Chung Shing to make it clear to Joe. Chung Shing cannot hide his love and he wants to confess it to An Ki……

An Shin goes to hospital to visit Chung Shun. She states that she does not want to see him any more in her life though she thanks for his help. An Ki tells Chung Shing that she just looks upon him as her father. It makes the latter feels very disappointed. However, he still keeps close with her as he hopes that she will change her mind one day. Chung Shun goes to evening school to learn Mandarin and the teacher is An Shin; An Shin goes to join the swimming training class and the instructor is Chung Shun. Such coincidence brings out lots of fun. Sai Sai suddenly returns to Hong Kong and she lives with Kam Chu. Han Tung is very surprised. Kam Chu recognizes that Sai Sai is trying to find a potential husband. Sai Sai insists that Kam Chu should keep the secret and she goes to register in Yu Yuk's match-maker agency in order to find a husband. Chung Shun is going to produce a promotion video for the products of An Shin's company……

Chung Shun tries his best in producing the video and the video for An Shin's company is excellent. As they have more contacts, they change their attitude and they have good will towards each other. An Shin finds that An Ki is flirting with some boys that she has many boy friends. An Shin tells her not to play love games. An Ki ignores her and finally Joe kills himself as he fails in courting with An Ki. An Shin scolds An Ki severely. An Ki has changed her attitude towards love as she has learned a lesson. Paul, the owner of a food company, courts with An Shin as they have business communication. An Shin is troubled and she tells Paul that she cannot accept his love. Paul is very angry and he spreads rumors which hurt An Shin. An Shin is in great trouble. Yu Yuk arranges Sai Sai to have a meeting with her potential husband. Sai Sai is in full dress but she finds that this man is Han Tung……
